While growing up in the Bay Area, I would travel to South Lake Tahoe on a regular basis to visit my grandparents. My grandfather, a contractor, was one of the first to build on Kingsbury Grade. I loved watching my grandfather build various homes throughout the Tahoe area, admired the beautiful mountains and surrounding landscape. I pictured myself and my family enjoying life as Lake Tahoe residents someday. We purchased a property several years ago and moved here permanently in 2003. My husband who is a contractor like my grandfather, my 2 boys, malamute "Kody" and cat "Tiger" could not imagine living anywhere else. Owning a piece of property in Tahoe is like having a little piece of heaven!
